The first impression of The Blue Room is aquatic, salty and fresh; you immerse yourself in the beauty and vastness of the Scandinavian dune landscape. The fresh sea breeze scent is complemented by the floral notes of red berries, dune rose and viola. The fragrance composition is rounded off by the warm, grounding, spicy scent of amber, sandalwood and moss. The essence of the north with all its facets, captured in one scent.
Inspired by a painting by Danish painter Anna Ancher, "The Blue Room" embodies Nordic essence exuding a sweet scent of heather, pine and crowberries flavored with the salty sea air - carried on a ray of sunshine through an open window into this blue room. A scent that makes time stand still.

Lemon, lime, orange blossom and a floral touch
Imagine you are in Tuscany and after the long winter you open the door of the lemon greenhouse, the Limonaia, in a castello for the first time on a spring day, and an intoxicating melange of scents of lemon, lime and bitter orange (petitgrain) flow towards you . You take another deep breath and scents of rose, jasmine and ylang ylang join in. The warm base of the fragrance composition is vanilla, which gives it a subtle sweetness.

A floral, fresh, bright scent, with a few fruity nuances, opens up to you as if you were standing under a large, blooming magnolia tree. Can you smell spring too? Added notes of rhubarb, sweet-woody patchouli and jasmine for a noble elegance. The sensual basis of this unique fragrance composition is formed by sandalwood, vanilla and amber.
Limitless freedom, love and peace, these are the emotions that represent this fragrance. It is the most masculine, spicy scent in the madetostay home fragrance collection. The scent reminds the designer of a trip through the Arizona desert after a long-awaited rain shower. The desert plant Larrea tridentata releases this “healing” scent in the rain and when transferred to your home, Desert Rain invites you to cozy, relaxing moments on your sofa, free from stress and constraints.

The madetostay fragrance collection includes five unique fragrances, inspired by places and experiences that deeply touched designer Carsten Jörgensen, each fragrance tells a unique story. The fragrance notes were developed individually for madetostay by perfumers in Munich with the highest level of professionalism and creativity. Complicated fragrance compositions with numerous ingredients were created, resulting in exceptional and very high-quality perfumes. The scents are very suitable for all rooms depending on individual taste. The scents are subtle, unobtrusive, emotional, personal and unique. They are long-lasting and create a pleasant ambience.
Ceramics - art
The artisan manufacturer Jomazé, Lda. is located in the heart of Portugal, near the coast between the Nazaré and Alcobaça regions. A place where a long tradition in ceramic processing has determined the everyday life of many craftsmen.
Nowadays there are only a few workshops left in this area. The Jomazé workshop has become an institution and has survived the crisis of globalization only because it has managed to combine decades of ceramic tradition with a spirit of innovation.
Wood turning craft
None of the wood professionals we know have mastered the art of selecting, drying and processing wood on the lathe as masterfully as the skilled craftsmen of Ferreiras e Marcelino from Portugal.
Since its founding in 1986, this humble woodworking shop and woodturnery has grown into one of the finest small businesses we know of. They ship their high-quality wood and cork products to almost every country in Europe and beyond.

Swif has been developing and producing air care products for the European market for more than 30 years. madetostay - Unser Herzensprojekt
2017 fing alles an wie der Anfang eines Witzes: Ein Däne, ein Schweizer, ein Engländer und ein Deutscher gehen zum Mittagessen... Doch das war der Beginn von madetostay – unsere Traum-Marke wurde geboren.
Zwei Designer, zwei Kaufleute, alle mit glänzenden Karrieren bei großen Marken, beschlossen, etwas anders zu machen. Kirsten war genauso begeistert, und so standen wir da: stolze Gründer von madetostay. Kirsten, Jürgen, Peter und Carsten. Jonathon kümmerte sich um die Kunden in UK, und Carl Henkel übernahm den weltweiten Vertrieb.

Unser Herzensprojekt madetostay steht vor einem Neustart. Die Verpackungen müssen überarbeitet werden, weil unsere alte Büroadresse darauf steht. Aber bevor wir loslegen, heißt es für euch: zugreifen und abräumen!
