The ARCA X-tract Brew 1.2 l follows the same principle as our smaller ARCA:
Perfect coffee only needs hot water. No paper, no technology.
For the larger quantity, we have added two things:
- DRIP-LESS, a discreet silicone drip catcher that sits in the spout and prevents 98% of dripping. Removable, durable, dishwasher safe.
- STIR, an extra-long stainless steel stirring spoon that ensures coffee dissolves evenly, even in larger quantities. Features a practical hook, making it suitable for (tea) cocktails and bar use.
Available in Café au Lait, Pure White, Matt Black, and Coffee Cherry Red . Includes patented coffee filter, stirring spoon, and drip catcher. Optional separate tea filter.
What makes the X-tract filter so special – and what sets it apart from all other filters? Discover why there is no real alternative to this patented design.

Here's how to prepare your perfect coffee:
- Pour ground coffee into the filter.
- Fill with hot, but not boiling, water. (Optimal temperature is 96°C.)
- Stir and break up any lumps.
- Cover and let the flavors infuse. (At least 4 minutes, we recommend 12.)
- Important: Serve with the filter in the ARCA. This small detail makes the coffee so delicious.
There is no better coffee with rolls or cake.

High-quality, durable, dishwasher-safe
Porcelain, stainless steel filter (304), silicone ring, and drip catcher. All materials comply with EU product safety guidelines. The pitcher is made of high-quality porcelain in robust hotel-grade quality – for long-lasting everyday use. Because the most sustainable product is the one you enjoy using for many years and, ideally, pass on.
We use tested, cadmium- and lead-free materials*.
Our patented stainless steel filter is made entirely of high-quality stainless steel (304) and features an additional fine-mesh stainless steel sieve inside. A precisely fitting silicone ring securely holds the porcelain lid on the filter.
Our products are regularly tested by independent laboratories. The release of lead and cadmium is below the detection limit and therefore significantly below the legal EU limits.

Easy and quick cleaning
Cleaning the Arca X-tract is quick and easy. All parts are dishwasher safe.
To clean the filter, dispose of the coffee grounds in the organic household waste or compost and rinse them under running water from the outside to the inside. We recommend cleaning the filter in the dishwasher once a week. Alternatively, you can clean it with very hot water, a brush and detergent.

Questions & Answers
Your coffee stays really hot for a long time , even without a warmer. Thanks to the innovative filter in our Arca, the coffee stays pleasantly warm for about half an hour.
Important:
- After stirring, quickly put the lid on the ARCA
- If the ARCA is coming out of the cold kitchen cupboard, you can warm it up a little beforehand with hot water.
- Ice-cold milk naturally reduces the temperature of the coffee enormously.
Here's a brief insight into our measurements at a room temperature of 22°C :
- The coffee starts at a brewing temperature of 96°C.
- The coffee is ready after 4 minutes. At a temperature of 86°C, it's still very hot, and the flavor continues to develop.
- After 10 minutes: The coffee is at a temperature of 78°C. I'll wait another 2-3 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, the temperature is at 70°C. Perfect for me.
Yes , absolutely. The coffee doesn't have a steeping effect and doesn't become bitter. We've learned this from our experience with coffee experts. Additionally, the filter in the coffee maker keeps your favorite beverage hotter for longer.
Give the coffee about 4 minutes to release its aromas. After a few more minutes, it will reach the ideal drinking temperature. I find that around 12 minutes is perfect for a leisurely breakfast. Perfect, right?
For tea: After the desired brewing time, carefully lift out the filter and lid. Caution : Only touch the lid, as the filter will be very hot. Then replace the lid on the Arca to keep the tea warm for as long as possible.
If your filter isn't draining properly, you should rinse it with hot water. We put it in the dishwasher about once a week and run a high-temperature cycle once a month.
Still clogged? It's not just the Arca that's affected. While essential oils are responsible for the great taste on the one hand, they can also ruin grinders or... X-tract filters can get clogged. But don't worry, this can be fixed: Place the filter in an oven preheated to approximately 120°C for about 20 minutes. Then carefully remove it with tongs or a pot holder and immediately rinse it with cold water to remove the oils. Let the filter cool briefly and then rinse it thoroughly again or put it back in the dishwasher. After that, it's ready to use again and as good as new!
The German Coffee Association recommends using 60g of coffee per liter of water. This also applies to preparation using the X-Tract method. As a rough guideline, we use approximately 6g per heaped spoonful at home. This means, as a rule of thumb:
- 10-12 spoonfuls for a full Arca (add approx. 1,000 - 1,200ml of water)
- 5-6 spoonfuls per 1/2 liter of water
- 3 spoonfuls in 300ml of water (one large cup)
If your coffee is too weak and it's not due to the amount of coffee, you probably poured the water too slowly . The water flows too slowly and the coffee isn't mixed properly. In that case, you need to stir the coffee well.
If the coffee is too strong, simply reduce the amount of coffee grounds or choose a milder, fruitier roast with a coarser grind. Experiment a little until you find your perfect setting.
With attention to detail and a touch of craziness, we create what we love.
