Und so bereitest du deinen perfekten Kaffee zu:
- Gemahlenen Kaffee in den Filter geben.
- Mit heißem, nicht kochendem Wasser auffüllen. (Optimal sind 96°C)
- Umrühren und Klumpen lösen.
- Deckel drauf und den Aromen Zeit geben. (Mindestens 4 Minuten, wir empfehlen 12)
- Wichtig: Mit dem Filter in der ARCA servieren. Dieses kleine Detail macht den Kaffee so lecker.
Es gibt keinen besseren Kaffee zu Brötchen oder Kuchen.
High quality, durable, dishwasher safe
The patented stainless steel filter has an additional fine-mesh stainless steel sieve inside. The complete filter is made of high-quality stainless steel (18/8, material number SS304). A silicone ring holds the porcelain lid firmly on the filter, This means it won't fall into your freshly brewed coffee.
The Arca or Ionic X-tract is available in two versions:
Borosilicate glass: The heat-resistant laboratory glass contains no substances that are hazardous to health, is hygienic and does not absorb tastes, odors or discoloration. The glass is light, stable and very robust .

Easy and quick cleaning
All parts of the ARCA & IONIC X-tract* are dishwasher safe.
To clean the filter, dispose of the coffee grounds in organic household waste or compost and wash them from the outside in under running water.
We clean the filter in the dishwasher once a week. This can also be done with very hot water, a brush and dish soap.
*We decided to make the handle of the porcelain jugs hollow, which means it doesn't get hot and offers a stable construction. The handle has a small hole at the bottom that allows water to occasionally enter and exit. However, this is harmless.

Start with it at breakfast. Good taste and a good feeling - reducing can bring joy.

Yes, absolutely. The coffee doesn't stale or become bitter. We have made this experience together with coffee experts. In addition, the filter in the coffee keeps your favourite drink hot for longer. Give the coffee about 4 minutes to release its aroma. After a few more minutes, it will reach the ideal drinking temperature. I find that after around 12 minutes, the coffee is perfect for a cosy breakfast.
We put a lot of effort into the design of our jug to reduce dripping as much as possible. But honestly, we - and no one else - have yet managed to create a perfectly drip-free jug.
However, if you are not too hesitant when pouring and do not fill the jug all the way to the top, you can greatly minimize dripping.
If your filter no longer drains well, you should rinse it hot. We put it in the dishwasher about once a week and select a programme with a high temperature once a month, is it still clogged?
That might happen because the essential oils contained in coffee are not only responsible for its great taste, but can also ruin grinders or in this case clog the X-tract filter. However there is no need to worry, this can be resolved by placing the filter in an oven preheated to around 120°C for around 10 minutes. Then carefully remove it with a pair of tongs or an oven mitt and rinse it immediately with cold water to remove the oils. Leave the filter to cool briefly and then rinse it thoroughly again or put it back in the dishwasher. At this point, it is ready to be used again and as good as new!
The German Coffee Association recommends 60g of coffee per litre of water. This also applies to preparation using the X-Tract method. As a rough measure, we use approx. 6g per heaped spoon at home. This means as a guideline
- 8 spoons for a full arca (add approx. 800ml of water)
- 5 spoons for 1/2 litre of water
- 3 spoons for 300ml of water (one large cup)
If your coffee is too weak and it is not due to the amount of coffee, you have probably brewed the coffee too slowly. This means that the water is flowing too slowly and the coffee is not mixed thoroughly. If the coffee is too strong, simply reduce the amount of coffee powder or choose a milder, fruitier roast with a coarser grind. Experiment a little until you have found your perfect setting.
